Combining Biohacking and Traditional Medicine for Better Health

Yesterday I spoke at Life Summit in Berlin on a topic that’s more personal than it sounds: “Biohacking vs. Traditional Medicine”.

It’s not just a debate I prepared for, it’s one I’ve lived.

Years ago, I hit rock bottom. Burnout. Fatigue. Brain fog. A body that was giving up, and a healthcare system that couldn’t explain why. Test after test said I was “fine.” But I wasn’t.

That’s when I went deep into biomarkers, routines, sleep, light, nutrients, detox, all of it. Biohacking wasn’t a trend to me. It was a lifeline.

It brought me back. It gave me clarity.

It led to Expand Health Cape Town and Expand Labs Bucharest real clinics, real people, real outcomes. It sparked Expand Health AI, our technology platform that’s redefining proactive care.

And most of all, it gave me a mission I now live every day: To help others take back control of their health — before it’s too late.

Funny enough… I’m almost back there now.

Not because I don’t know better. But because building something meaningful, a real shift in healthcare, takes everything. Nonstop flying, 16-hour days, chasing traction and funding and building. It adds up.

The difference now? I see it. I feel it. And I know how to course-correct.

That’s the essence of what I shared on stage:

We don’t need to choose between biohacking and traditional medicine. We need to combine them, for a future that’s predictive, personalized, and proactive. Where you’re not just a patient… you’re a participant.
